Possibly the most reasonable Christian yet

A combination of mild heat exhaustion and a little too much Southern Comfort left me a little slower than usual in my thinking.

Stefan might be the nicest, most reasonable Christian I’ve ever had the pleasure of speaking with.

Unfortunately I didn’t give him the discussion he deserved. A combination of mild heat exhaustion and a little too much Southern Comfort left me a little slower than usual in my thinking. Stefan was gentlemanly enough not to mention it though.

To be honest, part of me would prefer not to post this one but there’s no integrity in that. The agreement was that we post it on YouTube and it would be dishonest of me to renege on that agreement after the event. Oh well… nobody’s perfect!

Let atheism be (free Palestine)

I don’t see Muslims, Jews or Christians. I see murderers and victims.

As an atheist looking at the genocide in Gaza I don’t see Muslims, Jews or Christians. I see murderers and victims. All are people and in situations like this that’s important to remember…

The Jewish victims of those awful days,

Themselves adopting monstrous ways,

Israelis seeking Lebensraum,

Becoming that which caused them harm,

While Christians look the other way,

Pretending not to see the Zionist Nazis of today,

But still I say:

“It’s not a crime,

To support Palestine!”

Rebutting foolish theists

The stupidity of some theists is beyond parody.

I recently made a simple video about atheism and how it’s not a worldview. It’s a simple, straightforward point which I thought was both straightforward and obvious.
However, no matter how clear the situation is my comments attracted a few theists who not only failed to understand the point but who then went on to display their stupidity in quite gargantuan ways with ridiculous claims as they struggle to maintain a moral high ground they clearly don’t deserve.
So, instead of spending my whole weekend rebutting these fools I just made a little video. Here it is.

Josephus and friends

The 4th century forger who wrote those words was clearly a liar.

People keep telling me

Of Jesus’ historicity

Of witnesses, contemporary

Proofs of authenticity.

So let’s examine the main claims

The oft-repeated ancient names

Josephus, Eusebius,

Tacitus and Pliny

And finally…

The one you don’t know…

Discussion with another Eastern orthodox Christian

Is religious belief sufficient reason to dismiss the experiences and validity of others?

Meet Joshua. He’s an Eastern Orthodox Christian with some interesting ideas. I had high hopes for this one although it didn’t turn out quite as I’d expected. What’s your opinion?

Joshua was very keen to prevent me from actually making my points, even when he’d asked specific questions. However I have several videos that will explain what I meant. They’re linked below…

Be careful what you ask for

keyboard warriors tend not to be quite so impressive in person

Sam Sheets is a Christian.  He thought it might be fun to claim that atheists are just trolls who don’t want to debate. He claims we have a warp (sic) sense of reality. Finally, demonstrating all the self awareness of a woodworm in a house brick he asks the atheists “What’s with the hostility?”

This video is what happened when I took him on. I’m afraid keyboard warriors tend not to be quite so impressive in person. Sam ran away after 40 minutes spent demonstrating how little he knows of his religion, his bible or rational thought.
