Crucifixion as substitutionary atonement is barbaric and ridiculous. I want no part of it.

They tell me that their Jesus died for me. But that’s absurd. A scapegoat can’t pay the price for someone else’s sins. It’s barbaric and ridiculous and I want no part of it.

Original sin: Does it make sense to you?

Two people who I never knew did something that I didn’t do, so I deserve to burn in Hell!

I can be forgiven for what I didn’t do, because some other people crucified a bloke who didn’t do it too!

There’s nothing ‘good’ about ‘Good Friday ‘. It’s an illustration of the unimaginable stupidity of the fictional God of Abraham and the barbaric sado-masochistic fantasies of the authors who dreamed Him up!

This Friday isn’t good!

Salvation? Schmalvation!

It’s not really death, is it? He’s eternal. He’s not dead – he just had a few days off. The self-harm is over now and it’s business as usual in Heaven, with His father (who is also Himself) so nothing was really sacrificed and nothing was given. It’s a bit of a con job really, isn’t it?

The whole thing’s just a big con. Even if you assume the Bible is entirely true – every word – it’s still a con. Here’s why.,..
